Picasso and His Dog – for anyone who’s ever patted an animal or loved a piece of art!
From the award-winning Lemony S Puppet Theatre, comes Picasso and His Dog – a paw-fect portrait of friendship that will tickle your tummy and bring arty delight to all the family!
In 1957, a long, slinky, floppy-eared sausage dog called Lump arrived at the villa of the great 20th century artist Pablo Picasso. Lump took one look into the deep brown eyes of Picasso and decided he was home. And so began an extraordinary friendship between a man and his dog that spanned 17 years. Lump, the little sausage dog was so loved by Picasso he fired Picasso’s imagination and appeared in over 50 of his artworks!
Picasso and His Dog explores this special friendship between human and dog and the art that such an extraordinary friendship inspired in the works of Picasso and the world. Using puppetry, set transformations and live-art making onstage, Picasso and His Dog is a visually stunning and paw-fectly delightful work for all ages.
